Free and/or low-cost textbook materials is one of the many benefits of attending Garrett College as a student. Curious to see which types of courses at Garrett College utilize Open Educational Resources (OERs) or low-cost textbooks? That's right, graduation isn’t automatic. Before students can receive a diploma -- even if they’re not planning to attend the ceremony -- students must apply to receive a diploma. 

After registering for their final semester, students complete the online Graduation & Diploma Application to notify the Office of Records & Registration of their upcoming completion and intent to receive a diploma. The Office will review the students' degree requirements to verify they are on track, or identify any outstanding requirements that need attention.

Students can log in to the portal and find the online form under the Student and then OnLine Forms links.

One question many students have is how do virtual classes. This includes classes that are labeled as Online Synchronous Remote and Face-To-Face Switch (asynchronous Online classes, sections 90/91/92/93, do not have a designated meeting time).
